Great location for young/budget travellers. Simple but good.
The bathrooms need to be re-painted. A bit too noisy.
The lady who runs the place was very nice and accommodating. The kitchen was very functional. It was a quick walk or subway to downtown Lisbon and around, including a grocery store. Very good choice!
Rooms were clean and everything was how it was described on the website/comments made by people staying there. Room was basic but then again price is cheap. You get what you pay for in this room. :)
There wasn't as much noise at night as i was expecting, considering the location, but once or twice i was woke by the fire engine goin off to save people or a car horn from the roundabout but to be honest i was surprised it wasn't a more regular event.
The location was nice, near the marque de pombal.
They didn't anticipate our reservation right, so in the first night we got two rooms (we we're with 3). the second night, and those following it, we got cramped in a very small room. The flushing of both toilets wasn't working properly. Though the refridgerator is a nice thing to have, people just took our foods without permission. The internet wasn't working when I got there (but I fixed it, ha).
It was quite near the Marques the Pombal Square; also very quiet because the detached building where I was staying was in a side street. The staff nice (when theydid appear!).
There's no 24 h reception and you have to take an appointment with the receptionist if you arrive at night. I did so because I was arriving at 11 o' clock p.m. and they told me there would be a receptionist waiting for me. As I arrived I rang the bell and there was no answer. I panicked because I was travelling alone and I was tired. So I phone the the hostel and there was an answering machine! I really didn't know what to do when my phone rang and someone from the hostel told me the receptionist was coming soon. Then she appeared from the stairs, so why didn't she answer when I rang the bell? She would have avoided me a bad feeling.
Position, helpfulness of the staff, well-furnished kitchen, supermarket very close to the house.
I like the location of Tagus Home, as well as the kitchen and bathroom
The bed is not conformable, too soft....
Well, look at the price, what else can I say? The place is pretty shabby, but it is located pretty close to the centre of the city (if fact, it's the center itself). The furniture in the room is rather old, but the room is nevertheless clean... The woman that owns the place is very nice, but doesn't speak any English.
There is free Internet in the rooms, but on one evening something happened and for around 30 hours there was no Internet connection. Was sort of a challenge to find some Internet in the city, since most of the times when I tried to connect to Wi-Fi in public places they asked me to register and the form was only in Portuguese.
The lady from Brazil (Minas) who was friendly and has to respond to complaints she is not responsible for.
They gave us a room in an appartment that was 3 blocks away from the one we expected, they transformed a normal appartment (in a bad smelling house) into a sort of hostel. The problem: Very noisy, only one bathroom (very dirty after noon and full of mould) for about 15 people. We waited in front of door during a time as no one opened. It is a bad way of earning some extra money as it is not official and you never see anyone to complain about. Almost impossible to sleep with the noise whenever someone gets out or in or talks in the flat. It is cheap, that is why it can be a good deal, but I wonder if it is officially registered as an hostel - the health inspection wouldn't allow one dirty WC - and if someone showers you have to wait a lon...
has kitchen, very convienient
clean.it is near to citycenter and supermarket.
Best location, very close to metro and tourist bus.
As such it is a hostel not a hotel. The facilities (Toilet/kitchen/TV etc.) are on shared basis. No lift to go upstairs.
just a bed in a very good location in lisbon and nothing more....
That the location was perfect and the hotel was very quiet. And the Cleanliness of the room was perfect!
That the showers wouldn't turn warm in the evenings.
It was hard to find where in the building it was.
